Daryl C. Royal

Sole Practitioner
Dearborn, Michigan
Daryl C. Royal has been helping disabled people get the benefits they deserve for his entire career – more than 30 years. While attending Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, he took a job with a workers’ compensation firm, and he has been handling disability cases ever since. He now focuses on federal court appeals in Social Security disability cases because so few lawyers take the time to handle those appeals, but Daryl believes they can make a big difference to his clients.

A good disability attorney has to understand clients and their medical problems, but he also has to understand the law. Daryl has represented disabled people at nearly every level of the state and federal court system, and he knows the law. After spending over three decades working on disability cases, he also understands the medical terminology so important in every disability case. By combining his legal and medical knowledge, Daryl can explain to federal judges why claims were wrongly denied, with the law to back him up.

Daryl lives in Metro Detroit, with his wife, his son, and his adopted dog Carly. When not working on disability cases, he pursues another passion – helping reunite people separated by adoption. As the oldest of eight adopted siblings, he understands the importance of family. In the remainder of his spare time, Daryl can be found trying to wear out Carly with long walks in the morning or evening hours.
